This tour takes you to some of the most popular places in Fjella. Fjella is called the largest forest area in old Østfold county. It is not called Fjella because the terrain is so steep and difficult, but simply because there are a lot of mountains in the ground. Fjella is well marked, and you can buy a separate Fjella map with many good hiking suggestions. You can buy maps from us in Visit Indre Østfold. This route is approx. 8.5 km long. You park at Brattfoss, a relatively small car park at the end of the road. Then you make your way up to Ertevann. Ertevann is a very idyllic lake with many cabins around the lake. Here you will also find Ertevannshytta, which is one of DNT Indre Østfold's hiking huts. You continue down towards Langgaard. If you click on the map below, you will get the entire route drawn on the map. As you can see, we have made a small detour at Langgard, here is a nice little rest area outside in Langgaard. Bring your fishing rod, remember your fishing license.
